As part of the City of Mandurah's Endless Long Weekends program, residents are being encouraged to get outdoors and take part in the Kanyana weekend.

There will a number of activities including free laser tag, an outdoor movie, amusement rides and human foosball, all starting from Friday, March 19 to Sunday, March 21.

Mayor Rhys Williams said the weekend of events was yet another great opportunity to get out and about in Mandurah, while supporting local businesses.

“Kanyana means meeting of people, or gathering place, and that’s exactly what this weekend is all about,” he said.

“Kanyana Weekend is a nod to Mandurah’s Kanyana Festival of yesteryear and part of extending our calendar of events to make the most of smaller events we can all enjoy safely together.”

Kanyana Come and Try lets you test your skills with tennis, AFL, croquet and other sports, or have a go at dragon boating.

Top of the Terrace is a street party that everyone can enjoy with great food, live entertainment and even a human foosball game.

Wine & Wander is purported to be a highlight of the weekend, where you can sample wines from WA’s top wineries and enjoy food at local eateries through a self-guided walking tour.

Kanyana Carnival is aimed at creating fun for the whole family and will feature free rides, amusements and activities including Xtreme obstacle course, a climbing wall and bungee run.
