The City of Rockingham’s International Food Festival will return on Friday March 19, with locals able to sample a wide range of delicious cuisine.

Running from 5pm – 9pm at the Village Green in Rockingham, the International Food Festival is one of the City’s most popular annual events and gives visitors an opportunity to enjoy flavours from around the world while celebrating Rockingham’s cultural diversity.

40 vendors will be selling food that highlights the best flavours of countries including Korean, French, Nepalese, Greek, Japanese, Vietnamese, Turkish, Indian, Mexican, Singaporean, Lebanese, Malaysian, Moroccan and Indonesian.

The event will also feature multicultural performances, roaming entertainment, interactive children’s activities, market stalls, and a ‘drum-off’ between Taiko Do and Akwaaba African Drumming.

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged visitors to bring their appetite along with them to the 2021 International Food Festival.

“The City’s International Food Festival at the Village Green is a wonderful acknowledgment of the cultural influences that contribute to our community,” Mayor Sammels said.

“With a variety of flavours from all corners of the globe available there will be something to suit everyone’s taste buds. This event is very popular with community members, so be sure to head down and get involved with everything on offer.”

As per the State Government’s contact tracing requirements, all visitors will need to check into the event using the SafeWA app or by filling out the manual contact register.

Parking will be available behind the Gary Holland Community Centre and Rockingham Museum.
