Three million more free RATs will be available over the next month for Western Australians at pop-up distribution sites in metropolitan and regional areas, starting this weekend.

Sporting fans attending this weekend’s State of Origin game will be able to collect free RATs at Optus Stadium before the game.

RATs will also be made available at other major events and festivities over the next few weeks.

RATs will be handed out at Perth metropolitan shopping centres in the week starting on Monday, June 27, in Victoria Park, Rockingham, Warwick and Midland.

Other metropolitan shopping centres will hand out free RATs in the following weeks.

Commuters will be also able to collect free RATs at train stations on the Mandurah, Joondalup, Fremantle, Thornlie, Midland and Armadale lines over the next month.

A list of RAT pop-up locations and dates is available on WA.gov.au.

The list will be updated regularly as more locations become available.

Western Australians are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and bolster their supply of RATs to stay on top of managing COVID-19 during the cooler months.

“We are continuing to support the community and manage COVID-19 like no other State Government, with our WA Free RAT program expanding further to make RATs even more accessible," Premier Mark McGowan said.

“I encourage all Western Australians to pick up free RATs at this weekend’s State of Origin and when they’re out and about in the community or catching public transport.

“COVID-19 is not over, so it’s important that all Western Australians have access to RATs whenever they need them.

“I want to thank Western Australians for continuing to play their part in testing and isolating accordingly.”
