Time is running out to apply for grants from the Alcoa Dwellingup and Community Assistance Schemes.

The Shire of Murray, in collaboration with Alcoa, provides the scheme to assist community-based organisations to build a vibrant, inclusive and healthy Dwellingup community.

The fund specifically supports events and projects that demonstrate a benefit to the local area.

This funding has already supported a number of great events and activities this year including:

•    The XVIII Australian Masters Games – Cross Country Point-to-Point (XCP) Mountain Bike

•    Dwellingup Football club – Training club clothing and trophy

•    Dwellingup Primary School P&C – Afterschool dance activity

•    Nanga Music Festival

•    Hotham Valley Anniversary Festival 2022

Applications are being encouraged that demonstrate a strong alignment with the Shire of Murray Strategic Community Plan and will be assessed primarily against the project’s ability to provide benefit to the Dwellingup community.

“The Alcoa Dwellingup and Community Assistance Schemes have helped to fund great initiatives for Dwellingup that strengthen our community and have helped provide fantastic events for visitors and locals," Shire President Cr. David Bolt said.

Applications close in December.
