The City of Rockingham is asking for the public to share their thoughts on a proposed development in Safety Bay.

The proposed mixed commercial development at 434 Safety Bay Road has been split into four 'parcels'.

Parcel one would be a childcare centre, parcel two would include a medical centre, health studio, consulting rooms (physiotherapy); a pharmacy, three speciality shops and a café tenancy, parcel three would be an oceanfront tavern and parcel four has been earmarked for future residential use.

Submissions close at 4.30pm on October 12 and can be made online via email to customer@rockingham.wa.gov.au or via Rock Port.

The application for the development will then be considered at an upcoming Joint Development Assessment Panel meeting.

The City will provide its recommendations and forward any submissions from members of the public prior to the meeting.
