Visit Mandurah has been selected as a finalist in the Global City Nation Place Awards 2023.
The tourism organisation, supported by the City of Mandurah, has been named in the Best Communication Strategy - Tourism category for their 'BIG reasons to visit Mandurah this summer' campaign of 2022/23.
Visit Mandurah are up against ten other finalists from around the world including Visit Aarhus (Denmark), Cape Town Tourism (South Africa), Tourism Fiji and Visit Greater Palm Springs (USA).
The Awards recognise businesses that excel in destination marketing and effectively engage both communities and travellers.
Mandurah was already awarded the title of Australia's Top Tourism Town in September 2023 and consecutive State wins in 2022 and 2023 as Western Australia’s Top Tourism Town.
The ‘BIG reasons to visit Mandurah this summer’ campaign focused on showcasing the city's unique aspects and experiences that make it a compelling destination with its captivating visual content, including images and videos, which highlighted the natural beauty and diverse attractions of the region.
Mandurah's big attractions, such as the Giants, the Canal Christmas Lights Cruises, the large dolphin population, and the extensive inland waterways, were emphasized in the campaign.

The winners of the City Nation Place Global Awards 2023 will be announced at the awards ceremony on the 9th November in London.
